Susan Jane Ickler, 78, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at Rochester East Health Services on October 6, 2025.
She was born on December 18, 1946, in Warren, Minnesota, to Raymond and Velma (Haupt) Hageman. Susan grew up in Ronneby, MN and graduated from Foley High School. On August 24th, 1975, she married Charles "Butch" Ickler, and together they shared over fifty years of marriage filled with love, family, and laughter.
She enjoyed being around people and was always eager to lend a helping hand whenever she could. Her warmth and kindness were evident in the way she interacted with others, consistently offering support and assistance to friends, family, and those in need. Her genuine concern for others and her willingness to help made a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She cherished spending time with her family, and moments with her grandchildren were especially meaningful to her. Her loved ones will always remember her for her kind heart, gentle humor, and the welcoming atmosphere she created for everyone around her.
She is survived by her husband, Charles "Butch" Ickler; her children, David (Jessie) Ickler, Erik (Katie) Ickler, Miranda Hageman, and Melenda Erickson Flanum Hageman; her sisters, Donna Sabrowsky and Catherine Heger; and her brother, Paul Hageman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert, Kenneth, and Thomas Hageman, and sisters Carol Schlif and Mary White.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, Minnesota.
In lieu of fresh flowers, plants are preferred.
