Susan Johnson, 78, entered into rest on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
Susan was born on October 7, 1947, in London, England, to the late Jack and Joan Manning. Though born in England, she grew up in Cochran, Georgia, where she later met her beloved husband, the late Henry Johnson, Jr., while he was home on military leave. As a devoted military spouse for more than 22 years, Susan traveled the world alongside her husband of 41 years while raising family before the couple eventually retired in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Susan was known for her warm spirit, gentle heart, and creative hands. She was an avid sewer and knitter.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughters, Stephanie Harris (Paul) of Brandon, FL, and Samantha Rosson of O’Fallon, IL; her grandchildren Megan Lanier, Julia Sumer, and Madelyn Rosson; and her great-grandchild Aubri Lanier. Her siblings Michael and Lynn Whiteside, Dianne Adams, Stephen and Carol Manning, and David and Kathy Manning. Along with a host of extended family members and friends.
Susan’s love, strength, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Susan will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Susan Johnson to International Myeloma Foundation.
For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/@McCulloughFuneralHome via the McCullough Funeral Home’s YouTube page.
