Susan Kern

Susan Elizabeth Kern, 57, of Westminster, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born August 26, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland, she is the daughter to Nancy Amanda Grace Hagan Webb and of the late Robert George Petenbrink. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick Steven Kern, Sr. She enjoyed coloring and doing crossword puzzles and taking pictures. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was a member Shiloh United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children Frederick Steven Kern, Jr. and significant other Diana of Moorefield, WV, Crystal Sue Ferguson and husband Brian, of Emmitsburg, MD, Jay Allen Kern of Moorefield, WV, Amanda Grace Kern and significant other Shaun of Basye, VA and Brittany Danielle Marie Whittaker and husband John of Moorefield, WV; brothers Robert Petenbrink and wife Judy, William Petenbrink and wife Kelly, Todd Peterbrink and wife Amy and Donald Petenbrink and wife Debbie and grandchildren Noah Trenton, Harlee Kern, Lacey Morris, Nevaeh Kern, Austin Morris, Isaac Whittaker, Frederick Kern, III, McKinley Whittaker, Khloe Ferguson, Riley Ferguson, Rowen Whittaker and Bellona Whittaker. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main Street, Westminster, MD. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hampstead.
