SUSAN KNOX Obituary

KNOX, Susan L. Of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Elmhurst Healthcare Center in Melrose. She was 86. Susan was born on January 11, 1939, in Boston, one of two children of the late Charles E. and Alma Lucile (Griffitts) Knox. Born with semi-paralysis, she did not let her disability define her. She grew up in Melrose, where she graduated from Melrose High School in 1956. In her youth, Susan found immense joy in singing and embraced every opportunity to share her voice. Her passion for knowledge led her to pursue a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Boston University, a place where her inquisitive mind flourished. In 1960, she embarked on her lifelong career as a librarian at the Malden Public Library, a role she embraced wholeheartedly until her retirement in 2009. Susan was the loving sister of Linda K. Large of Milton. Cherished aunt of Pamela Glasgow and her husband Omari of Plymouth. She is also survived by her great-nephews. Services for Susan will remain private. Gifts in Susan's memory may be made to The Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.For online tribute, please visit www.robinsonfuneralhome.com Life Celebration By Robinson Funeral Home
