Susan Kroll

Susan Norbi Kroll, age 67 of Hudson, WI, passed away August 29, 2022 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Sue was born on February 22, 1955 in Neenah, WI to Norbert and Mary (Schmidt) Milliken. She grew up in Neenah and graduated from Neenah High School with the class of 1973. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where she earned a Bachelor s degree in Teaching with an emphasis on Special Education. While in college, Sue met Tom Kroll who became her best friend and the couple was united in marriage on December 20, 1977 in Neenah. The pair attended graduate school at Virginia Tech and Sue worked as a Special Ed Teacher. Sue continued to teach when they moved to New Hampshire. Sue and Tom started their family and Kevin was born in New Hampshire. The family moved to Kansas City and expanded with the birth of Rebekah and James. In 1999, the family relocated to Hudson. Sue loved having the opportunity to raise her children and excelled in her role of being a mom. Through example she taught her children to live simply and to always remain family focused. Susan was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where her husband is a deacon. She enjoyed going for walks on the Hudson pier, and was fond of watching the deer and birds in her backyard.
Sue will remain in the hearts of her husband of 44 years, Tom; children, Kevin (Aubrey), Rebekah (Austin) Heisick, and James; grandchildren, William and Emelinda; siblings, Mike (Patty) Milliken, Kevin (Sharon), Milliken, Karen (Bruce) Jamison; sister-in-law, Patty Milliken; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norbert and Mary Milliken; her brother, Tom; and nephew, Darren Milliken.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Sue s life will be held at 12:00 p.m., noon, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson, WI.
