Dear Kuehnel family, first of all, I would like to express my sincere condolences on the death of your mother, Grandma... My name is Diane Kuehnel, I come from Germany, and I'm 55 years old. My name is very unusual. I've never found anyone on Google with the same name as me until just now. Your mother, or grandmother, was called Sue Diane Kuehnel, and she seems to have been a truly wonderful woman. It's a shame we weren't able to meet again. I wish your family strength in this difficult time of mourning. With kind regards from Germany, Diane Kuehnel

I will always be indebted to Sue for all of her help in serving on the board of directors for years in her condominium development. Her presence at meetings and no nonsense approach to solving difficult problems in her community was a huge asset to the board and the management company. I enjoyed working for her and loved her and her great sense of humor. My condolences to her family. I will never forget her.

Not my first memory of Sue, but my last memory of Sue, was a chance encounter with her at our local Meijer grocery store one recent summer. She delightedly described to me her preparations for her summer family event, for which she enthusiastically prepared games, activities and celebrations for her extended family members. I had the impression that she had been doing this on an annual basis for some time. It was resoundingly clear that she loved her family and gave of her time and creativity to celebrate with them, across the generations. I am sure her children and grandchildren and others basked in her love and generosity of spirit. Classmates, friends and family were all enriched by Sue's presence in our lives.

I very much enjoyed working with Susan. She was a wonderful, down to earth, strong woman who was always ready to help with whatever was needed. I loved her happy demeanor, sense of humor, helpfulness and unselfishness. My prayers for the family.

Working with Susan was always a pleasant experience. She was an upbeat and positive influence on everyone she interfaced with. What ever the problem or situation that would arrive, Susan was always there to provide whatever assistance she could to resolve it successfully. Just a wonderful person to work with!

I worked with Susan for many years. We shared many laughs and many cries. Just a wonderful lady and always willing to lend a helping hand. I spoke with her a month ago and was so sad to hear her prognosis. May she rest in internal peace. bf for her family that their memories of her will sustain you in the days ahead.

Susan would often talk about her family reunions planned in the summer time. She mentioned they enjoyed meeting in the Port Austin, MI area for these reunitions. Port Austin happened to be where my parents lived for many years before moving to Pittsburgh, PA where I grew up. However, we did our summer vacations in Port Austin for years as well. It was a great place for a vacation!

Having Susan as an executive administrator in our EDS/HPE organization was a blessing. She was always volunteering to help anyone/everyone in our work group to meet their objectives. Just look at the nice office Susan was able to find for me when I was a manager for over 100+ resources!

As Susan chose to retire from EDS/HPE, I recall several conversations we had about retirement financials. I know she was worried about being without a working income. However, when it came time for my own retirement, Susan provided her insight that "... you will be surprised, but it will all work out, financially..." and she was correct!

One thing most everyone in the EDS/HP/HPE work environments will remember are the Pot Luck luncheons that were coordinated by myself and Susan. Both Susan and I would bring 3 crockpots each and do the set-ups of these pot luck luncheons in our EDS/HP/HPE facilities. These started back at our EDS offices at 1080 West Entrance Drive with Hot Dogs & Burgers on the grill in the back patio and then grew into larger indoor potlucks as years went by. GOOD TIMES for sure. Helped having an admin that loved to cook for others!

A small group of EDS/HPE alumni meet periodically over the years to share past experiences and current events. Susan was always a joy to have attend and see her laugh at some of the stories being shared.
