Susan Joan LeVan, 78, of Mesquite, Nevada, peacefully returned to the Lord on December 25, 2025. Susan was born June 18, 1947 at Saint Anthony Hospital in Denver, Colorado, to John Dolphin and Leticia McGraw Dolphin. She was the second of four daughters, Karen, Susan, Patty and Wendy.

Susan graduated from North Denver Vikings High School in 1965 and fondly remembered her high school years, especially her time as a cheerleader and attended nearly every High School Reunion that was held. She went on to attend University of Northern Colorado in Greely, CO, Trinidad State College, in Trinidad, CO, and Western State College in Gunnison, CO, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Following college, she worked as a teacher for seven years in the Denver Public school system.

On December 23, 1972, she married the love of her life, Paul LeVan. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Shannon and Bryan. Shannon, who was disabled from birth, became the center of Susan’s life. Susan was a devoted and compassionate mother and grandmother, embracing every moment with her family.

In her free time, Susan loved cheering on her Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets, and most of all, supporting her children in whatever activities they chose to pursue. She also enjoyed spending time with friends at nearby Colorado Mountain casinos and cherished time with her family and friends.

After Paul’s retirement from United Airlines, Susan and Paul moved to Mesquite in 2005. There, they built lasting friendships through their various activities and their church membership at La Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Susan was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Shannon, her parents, and her in-laws.

She is survived by her husband, Paul LeVan; her son, Bryan LeVan, Daughter in law Kelli LeVan and her grandson Logan LeVan; Paul's sister Lori LeVan and her three sisters, Patty and Ron Shelato, Karen and Tim Higgins, and Wendy Dolphin also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who she all loved.

A mass will be celebrated in honor of Susan’s life at La Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church, Mesquite, NV on Monday January 19, 2025 at 10AM. Another service will be held in her honor at a later date in the Denver area.
