Susan Joyce Litton, PhD, 77, of Columbus, passed away suddenly on May 9, 2025. Susan was born in County Durham, England. Her father was a family doctor, and her mother was a grade-school teacher. In the year between high school and college she worked as an au pair in France and Italy. Susan worked in The Ohio State University’s Office of the Treasurer and Office of the Controller for many years, managing a financial training program for university employees. In retirement, she painted, swam, sang, wrote and illustrated children’s stories, and cooked gourmet meals. In 2020 she became a well-informed, active, and proud American citizen. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Mitchell Imhoff, her sister Pamela and brother Michael of County Durham, and many grieving relatives on both sides of the Atlantic. Those who knew her will not forget her graciousness and listening skills.
