Susan Griffith Lumpp

Susan Griffith Lumpp, age 78, of Glenview IL, formerly of Northfield and Winnetka IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 6, 2025. Susan was born and raised in Mount Lebanon, PA, and was a cradle Episcopalian. She graduated with the highest honors from Mount Lebanon High School and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she not only received her bachelor's degree, but met the love of her life, Roger Ellsworth Lumpp II. Susan and Roger were married in 1968, and after a move from Evanston, IL to Grand Rapids, MI, settled down in Winnetka, IL in 1976. It was in Winnetka where Susan and Roger raised their children, met many wonderful friends, found their church community at Christ Church Winnetka, and where Susan dedicated many years of service to the Winnetka Public School Nursery Board and as President of the District 36 School Board.
Susan is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Roger; her loving children Emily Horvath (Mike) of Northbrook and Roger III (Erica) of Lake Forest; her cherished grandsons Drew, Liam, Austin, and Dylan; and her granddogs Gretzky and Palmer. She is preceded in death by her parents Adelaide and John Griffith and her brother John Griffith. A Celebration of Resurrection will be held at 2pm on May 31st at Christ Church 784 Sheridan Road, Winnetka, IL.
