Susan Horne Lynn, age 82, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Friday morning, July 12, 2024, at the home of her daughter in Athens, GA.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lynn will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church. Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery with James Seamon, Caleb Baty, Tommy Lynn, and Richard Lynn serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM at the church.
Mrs. Lynn was born in Donalsonville, GA on April 10, 1942, to James Horne and Mildred Murkerson Horne. She was a graduate of Seminole County High School and a homemaker. Mrs. Lynn had served as President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed camping and fishing. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Lynn was a member of Salem-Seminole Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Sharon Lynn and Paula Batchelor; her sister, Doris Brown and her husband Steve; and her brothers, Emmett Horne and his wife Brenda and Quinton Horne and his wife Sally. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Heather Nelson, James Seamon, Caleb Baty and his wife Ana, Sabrina Lynn, Nicole Hartsfield, and Courtney Batchelor, as well as her great grandchildren, Brianna Nelson, Zachary Nelson, Marissa Seamon, Leevi Nelson, Lee Seamon, Savannah Nelson, and Virginia Baty.
Mrs. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, James Horne and Mildred Murkerson Horne; her husband, Claude Lynn; her brother, Horace Horne; her daughter, Claudette Lynn Seamon; and her grandson-in-law, Jonathan Nelson.
