February 11, 1961 - November 23, 2023
Susan Lynn Miller, age 62, died peacefully at her home on November 23, 2023, and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A funeral service will be held at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ai Methodist Memorial Cemetery in Oak Ridge, NC.
Susan was born in Olney, Maryland, on February 11, 1961. She was the daughter of the late Harold Dennis and Bertha Lee Reed Miller. Susan graduated in 1979 from Ben L. Smith High School in Greensboro. She worked as a secretary and bank teller in her early career before going to work for the City of Greensboro in the Water Department where she worked for 27 years until her death.
Susan was very outgoing and friendly. Her joyful laugh made everyone around her smile. She had a kind and generous heart, caring for the needs of others. She was a wonderful aunt who doted on her nieces, Anna and Caroline Miller; her great-nephews, Zachary and Brandon Stone; and special family friend, Alexis Stanley. Her favorite times were holidays, birthdays, Sunday dinners, vacations, and special times spent with family and friends. She loved going to the beach and especially enjoyed her trips to New Orleans, Pigeon Forge, Disney World, and a Caribbean cruise. Susan's love and friendship will be sorely missed.
Susan is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Mike Stone of Oak Ridge, and her brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Liz Miller of Summerfield.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to either the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or Samaritan's Purse, her two favorite ministries.

My family and I use to live behind Susan and her family in Hillsdale Park and I also knew her from the City where I also worked. She was such a nice person and will definitely be missed. Condolences to Bert and her family.

To the family of Susan. I worked with Susan at First Citizens Bank. She was a joy to work or be in her company. She visited my home many of times when we worked together. I saw her at the water department when I used to go in. Praying for comfort for the family.
