Susan Pierce Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Peters Funeral Home - Wasco on Nov. 13, 2025.
Susan Joyce Pierce, known affectionately as Susan to all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her, embarked on her final adventure on November 11, 2025. Born in the vibrant city of Frankfurt, Germany, on November 7, 1963, Susan's zest for life began early and continued throughout her 62 years until she passed away in Bakersfield, CA, after a battle with illness.
Susan's story is one for the books-literally. She could've been the heroine in one of her beloved sci-fi novels, with her resilience and determination. She was the kind of person who started as seasonal help at Semi-Tropic Almond Huller and, through sheer grit and charm, worked her way up to office manager over 41 years. At work, she wasn't just the glue that held the company together; she was the whole darn craft aisle.
Education was a chapter in her life that saw her breeze through high school in Oklahoma City, followed by some college that added to her impressive repertoire of knowledge. Susan's intelligence was like her favorite forensic TV shows-sharp, insightful, and always solving the mysteries of the office.
A believer of God, Susan's faith was as steadfast as her love for a good musical. She could belt out "I'll Be Your Girl for All Seasons" with as much gusto as she approached watching Super Bowl Sunday every year while driving the rest of the audience crazy. And let's not forget her passion for forensic TV shows and sci-fi adventures. Susan could debate who the best "Bones" character was or navigate the complexities of the "Twilight" saga with an enthusiasm that was nothing short of magical.
Susan's interests were as varied as the characters in "Harry Potter." From planting flowers in her yard and watching them grow to mastering the fine arts of crochet and needle point, she was always ready to dive into a new hobby. Her creative spirit shone brightest when she painted or drew, especially her signature bunnies and frogs, which she lovingly taught her daughters to replicate.
Speaking of her daughters, Susan was a mother extraordinaire to Brandy, Kirsten, and Shelbe, and a superhero grandma to Reese and Paige. She wore the mantle of Cookie Mom for the Girl Scouts and ran fundraisers with the efficiency of a seasoned campaign manager. Her family was her pride and joy, and her love for them knew no bounds.
Now, Susan had a well-known love affair with Mexican food, so much so that Taco Bell was jokingly dubbed "Susan's Kitchen"-a testament to her excellent taste and sense of humor. She was loving, intelligent, and generous, the kind of person who would give you the last chalupa out of her own Taco Bell box.
In the spirit of Susan's comedic outlook on life, let's remember her with a quote from the great Robin Williams: "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." Susan sure didn't. She lived her spark of madness to the fullest, brightening the lives of everyone around her.
We'll miss her laughter, her impromptu paint nights with the girls, and her uncanny ability to explain the intricate plot twists of "Criminal Minds." Susan Joyce Pierce, you were one of a kind, and the world is a little less colorful without you. Here's to a life well-lived and a woman who could outwit any TV detective and out love just about anyone. Cheers to you, Susan. May the next dimension be ready for your incredible spirit.
