Susan Marie Poland

Susan Marie Poland, born on February 23, 1962, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on March 21, 2025. She was a cherished member of her family and a beloved friend to many.

Susan’s caring nature stood out to all who knew her. She was dedicated to her family and took immense pride in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Susan is survived by her children: Ben Todd, Tim Todd, and Kaylan Poland; her grandchildren: Noah, Carrie, Bryson, Trevor, Alyssa, Jodey (Jojo), Braylen, and Meeya; and her siblings: Teddy (Lee) James, Eunice Griffith, Brian Jenkins, Donna Conley, Jerry Moore, Joe Jenkins, Billi Jo Burnett, Tina Lamagna, and Lisa Lamagna.

Throughout her life, Susan developed a variety of interests that brought her joy. She enjoyed walking, crocheting, solving puzzles, and collecting angels, which reflected her gentle spirit. A passionate sports fan, she loved cheering for the Cincinnati Reds, the Bengals, and OSU Football.

In her journey through life, Susan faced challenges with strength and grace. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley (Jerry) Moore and Joe Jenkins Sr.; her son, Gary Jenkins; her grandson, Kenlee; and her brothers, Micki Jenkins and Craig Moore. Their memories will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Susan's life at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Dayton, located at 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424, on Friday, March 28, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM and continue until the funeral service at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards Susan's funeral expenses. 

As we reflect on Susan's life, we remember a kind and nurturing soul whose legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing her.
