Susan Rafferty Obituary
Susan was born on October 16, 1957, in Mamou, LA. She graduated from Mamou High School. Susan worked as a law office administrator. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing tennis, spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and gardening.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Clienus Israel and Mr. Shirley and Julie Marcantel, and brothers, James and Junior Israel.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Rafferty; daughters, Margaret, Victoria, and Colleen (Braxton); grandchildren, Ava, Micah, Mitchell, Raelyn, Leila, Brantley, and Ophelia; sisters, Sandra Ryder and Linda Fontenot; and her beloved dog, Roxy.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Allison Wall and staff at Memorial Oncology, the brain & spine doctors, the staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Dr. Biju Marath and staff at Fresenius Dialysis Clinic.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the family of Susan Israel Rafferty.
