Susan Ridge Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 22, 2025.
Susan "Sue" "Susie" Ridge, 71, of Lower Macungie Township, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. The daughter of the late Vincent and Dorothy Ridge of Center Valley, Sue was born in Colón, Republic of Panama, and grew up in Coco Solo in the Panama Canal Zone.

After graduating from Cristobal Jr./Sr. High School and the Canal Zone College, she relocated to Allentown, PA. There she started a 41-year career at Hess's and the Bon-ton, building lasting friendships and touching the lives of countless coworkers and customers.

For the past eight years, she brought her dedication and compassion to Olympus Corporation, where she served not only as a valued employee but also as a co-leader of the enAble+ Employee Resource Group. In that role, she championed awareness and understanding of both visible and invisible disabilities, leaving a legacy of advocacy and inclusivity.

She enjoyed camping and loved all things Harley Davidson, but her greatest joy was being present for the people she loved. She was happiest surrounded by family and friends, always willing to lend a hand, a listening ear, or a warm hug. She expressed her love through acts of kindness, big and small, and had a way of making everyone feel special. Her homemade empanadas and her mother's ranch pretzels were famous among those fortunate enough to share a table with her.

Sue is survived by four siblings, Eileen Jones (Steve), Nancy Williams (Jay), Michael Ridge (Carol), and Kevin Ridge who will carry her memory with them always.

Interment will be private and at this time, a memorial service will not be held.
