Susan Rogers Obituary
Susan Rogers age 79, of Fredericksburg, VA passed away February 4, 2026 at Morningside House of Spotsylvania.
She was a retired Federal Government employee. Susan worked at Social Security and at the VA hospital in Asheville, NC. She loved children, hearing the Gospel preached, was a Christian Lady and a member of Ferry Farm Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, VA, and was previously a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC.
She is survived by her two brothers, Paul Akers of Fredericksburg, VA and Daniel Akers of N. Charleston, SC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Ross; parents, Christina May and Solomom "Bill" Akers; and her younger brother, William "Randy" Akers.
The family will receive friends between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Shuler Funeral Home in Asheville, NC, Forest Lawn facility on February 21, 2026.
Interment to follow at Shepherd Memorial Park North Carolina.
