Susan Jane Pinuelas, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Goodyear, Arizona. Born on April 14, 1951, in Duluth, Minnesota, Susan moved to Phoenix as a teenager, where she embraced the warmth of the Valley of the Sun for over sixty years.
As a dedicated homemaker, Susan poured her love into her family, creating a nurturing environment in her home. Her days were filled with joy—listening to the melodies of Patsy Kline, engaging in friendly games of Bingo and Keno, and cherishing the heartfelt smiles captured in pictures of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Susan's love for her family was evident in every thoughtful gesture and every story shared.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Judy Self and Mary Dingman; her devoted children, Brenda Austin, Kimberly Burton, and Danny (Mary) Pinuelas Jr.; her cherished grandchildren, J.J, Joshua, Justin, Jacob, Emily, Sarah, Joey, and John; and her precious great-grandchildren, James, Peter, Leah, and Moriah Austin. Susan also leaves behind her niece and nephew, Mathew and Jen, who will undoubtedly hold dear the memories of their time spent with her.
Susan is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Pinuelas Sr., as well as her beloved parents, Paul and Helen Samas. Their love and guidance shaped her life and continue to be a source of inspiration for her family.
A viewing will be held on October 1, 2025, at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 E Western Ave, Avondale, AZ, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at Saint Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N 48th St, Phoenix, AZ, beginning at 11:45 AM.
As we remember Susan, we honor her legacy of love, laughter, and familial devotion. She touched the hearts of those around her, and her spirit will live on through the countless memories created with her family and friends.
