With the heaviest of hearts, we announce Susan Sereno, 78, of Bradenton, FL and Waukesha, WI entered heaven on March 28, 2025. True to her spirit, she headed straight to the celestial first tee, ready for an unending round of heavenly golf. Susan was a happy-go-lucky woman who embraced life to the fullest, whether she was playing golf, serving on community committees, hosting Packer parties, organizing family dinners and holidays, enjoying game nights, organizing and attending high school reunions, traveling with her husband, or embarking on girls’ trips with both friends and family. And of course, she absolutely loved spending time with her 5 grandchildren, with whom she established many meaningful traditions. Her contagious smile and great sense of humor made every moment more memorable.

Susan was born in Burlington, Wisconsin, to Gordon and Ethel Brimmer. The family later moved to Waukesha, where she graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1964. She then attended Loyola University School of Nursing, graduating in 1968. Susan spent her career dedicated to nursing, with a special focus on home healthcare. Over the years, she held several nursing positions. Her favorites included instructing LPNs at WCTC, and for the last 25 years of her career, working at Camillus Cares, where she made a significant impact as both a nurse and a manager. Susan took great pride in her work, and her positive influence extended to both her patients and colleagues.

In 1969, Susan married the love of her life, Rick Sereno. They celebrated 55 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and many cherished memories. Susan is survived by her husband Rick, son Michael (Kelly) Sereno, daughter Andrea (Chris) Lemke, granddaughters Cailin, Kiley, Kira, and Courtney Sereno, and grandson Tristan Lemke. She is also survived by two sisters, Nancy Muth and Debbie (Walt) Wozniak.

Susan’s impact on the lives of others was immeasurable, and her warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until the 6:00 p.m. funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. Private interment will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Genesee.
