After many hard-fought battles, it is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Susan Cheryl Stack on 12/7/2023 at her home in Taos, NM. Susan was born on 8/23/1941 in Lorain, OH. Susan was an accomplished folk artist, who created, taught, and appreciated beauty and color wherever she went, and shared with whomever she met. Susan graduated from Buffalo State University in 1965 with a Bachelors of Science in Education, and went on to teach special education.
Susan loved to garden, cook, and loved to host a great party. She is survived by Michael Stack, husband; Marc Iannacone, son; Inger Nordby, daughter; Jason (Jodie) Stack, stepson; granddaughters Elise and Laurel Stack; Carol (Gene) Brown and Jane (Aaron Young) Sevier, sisters; and sister-in-law and dear friend Adele Burns. She was preceded in death by her father, James Riddle and mother, Edith Frey Riddle.
Funeral services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, 208 Camino de Santiago, Taos, NM on Friday, December 15th at 11 AM MST.
