Obituary of Susan Williams Sweatt
Lexington - Susan Sweatt, 62, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023. She was born on August 9, 1960 in Condon, Oregon to the late Sherrel and Dorothy Land Williams.
As a military brat, Susan was able to see many places around the U.S. Susan was a graduate of Lexington High School.
She worked as a phlebotomist at Lexington Medical Center, cared for children in her home, and settled down as a homemaker. Susan will be remembered as a gentle soul who loved children and animals and enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Cook.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, Robert Sweatt; brother, Dennis Chapman; sisters in law, Frances Edrington and Angela Helms; and nieces, Christina Mook, Jennifer Taylor, and Julie Fisher.
A memorial service will be held on June 11, 2023 at 2PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the following organizations which were near and dear to Susan: The American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
