Susan Sweet

Susan Sweet, 73, of Lake City, FL, passed away on November 29, 2022.
Sue was born on April 12, 1949 to Samuel John Reed lll and Bertha V. Carlin Kato in South Wilmington Delaware. In 1966 Sue and her siblings moved to Florida. After Sue graduated from Pompano Beach High School in 1967, she went on to have a career at American General.
In 1967, Sue met her future spouse Kenneth Sweet. They married on December 8th 1967 in Lake City, FL. Sue and Ken went on to have 2 children, Wayne and Paul.
Sue retired from the American General as Finance Manager and spent her time enjoying life with those she cared for most, her family and friends. She went on to publish several books; A Deadly Agent, Adrift, The Heart of Christmas, Away With the Manger, A Dangerous Haven, The Ring of Time, A Flood of Blessings, and Christmas Blessings. Apart from writing you could find her at the bingo hall on Friday nights, traveling to Biloxi to play the slots, and devoting time with her family. Her true passion was spending time with her husband, children, and being an amazing nana.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel John Reed lll and Bertha V. Carlin Kato, and her brother, Baby Boy Reed. She is survived by her siblings, Lesley Reed King (Benjamin), Kathleen Reed Moretto, Samuel Charles Reed (Noreen), Vicky Reed Mood (Floyd), Tommie Kelly Kato, and Bobby Shane Kato; her husband, Kenneth Sweet; her children, Wayne (Betty) Sweet, Paul (Amy) Sweet, and Steve (Wendy) Bedenbaugh; her grandchildren, Loren Sweet (Aaron) , Kenny Sweet, Hunter Sweet (Sydney), Amber Sweet, Allison Bedenbaugh, and David Sweet. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs, Sweet will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday. Dec. 3, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Norman , Pastor of the Tabernacle Church, officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 4 to 6 P.M. Friday, Dec. 2, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd, Lake City, Florida.
