Mrs. Susan Maura Ware

WARE, Susan Maura Tierney, 69, went to join the Lord on March 30, 2007 surrounded by the love of her family. Susan was born in Fairfield, Connecticut to Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Tierney Jr. She graduated from Marjorie Webster College in Washington, D.C., where she met Earl Hodges Ware Jr. On August 16, 1958, Susan and Earl married and moved to Tampa, Florida. Susan dedicated herself to her family and community. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Altar Boy Society, Jesuit High School Mother�s Club, St. Patrick�s Mother�s Club, The Children�s Home, Inc., Academy of the Holy Names Mother�s Association, and a Christian-based Crisis Hotline. She also assisted her husband with the original founding of the ALPHA House of Tampa. Susan was an active member and devoted Eucharistic Minister at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was also a member of Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club. Susan spent 16 years by her husband�s side as Office Manager at Transdor Corporation, their family business. Her leisure time was spent rooting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and sharing the beautiful sunsets of Longboat Key with her husband, children and grandchildren. Susan will always live in the hearts of those who survive her; her husband of 48 years, Earl Hodges Ware Jr.; sons Earl H. Ware III (Isabelle) of Jacksonville, Jeff Ware (Gayla) of Winter Haven, daughter Jennifer Ware Massey (Jack) of Atlanta, Georgia and daughter Laura-Elizabeth Ware Wash (Matt) of Tampa; father-in-law Earl Hodges Ware Sr. of Tampa; sisters Marcia Salko of Easton, Connecticut and Patricia Buchanan of Fairfield, Connecticut, and eight grandchildren; Russell, Brittany, Audrey, Lydia, Jack Christopher, Ava, Mia and Davis. Her faithful canine companion, Maggie will miss her. Donations may be made to the Academy of the Holy Names or Jesuit High School memorial scholarship funds.
