Lexington, Kentucky - WITT, Susan Sidney Dant, 68, wife of James C. "Crickett" Witt, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 at her home in Lexington, KY. She was born May 20, 1955 in New Hope, KY to Mary Louise Dant and her late husband George Sidney Dant. Susan and James were married in Kingston, Jamaica on January 28, 1985. Together they spent many years overseas and some of her fondest memories were of their time in Africa. She was an avid golfer and member of Spring Valley Country Club. Other than her husband and mother, Susan is survived by her brothers, Charles Eric (Dorothy) Dant, Joseph Patrick (Lori) Dant, Paul Vincent (Judy) Dant and John Gavin (LeeAnn) Dant; her sister, Amy Lee Dant; nephew, Chris S. (Shannon) Gousha; and a brother-in-law, Tom Stolte. Other than her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Michael Dant; and a sister, Rebecca "Becky" Louise Stolte. A visitation will take place Wednesday, June 14, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main St. from 5-8pm. A burial mass will take place 11am Monday, June 19th at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and it's cemetery - 104 Church Street New Hope, KY.

I grew up with Susan in New Hope and she was the sweetest kindest young lady. Just like her mom. I´m so sorry for your loss, I know you will all miss her dearly.

I remember playing golf at Spring Valley. We had a lot of fun golfing and playing Tuesday Ladies Day. My late husband, Charlie, came to her rescue many times if she was struggling with a shot or a club. Rest in peace sweet gal. Fondly Pat Rivard Wheeler
