Susan Diane Thompson Wollenberg passed away at her home in Belton, Texas on May 20th, 2025.
Funeral services will be at 10am on Thursday, May 29th, 2025 at Dossman Funeral Home, Belton, Texas. Burial will be at 1:00pm the same day at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, Texas.
Susan was born on May 20th, 1957 in Jacksonville, Florida to Ralph and Dorothy Slagle Thompson.
Susan was an Army combat medic when she enlisted in the Army, achieving the rank of Sargent until she was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant. She stayed in the Army Medical Corps until her retirement at the rank of Major. During her time in the Army, She married Larry Wollenberg, also an officer in the Army, and they had two daughters - Kasey and Jade.
Susan loved to travel with her daughters and friends and meet people from all over the world. Her favorite vacation was visiting Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Susan is survived by her husband, daughters Jade and Kasey, and brothers Steven & Tommy Thompson.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Susan will be remembered by her bright smile, kind eyes, and selfless heart.
