Susan C. Woods passed away peacefully on Halloween 2025, surrounded by love. Born on Valentine's Day in 1948, she grew up in Walnut Creek, CA. Susan lived a life defined by kindness, humor, and deep devotion to her family and friends. The world was a better place because she was in it.

She was married to the late Joseph Woods, and they were long-time residents of Dublin, CA. Together they raised two daughters, Judy Woods and Katie Bardwell, who loved her more than anything. Susan worked at the Walnut Creek Post Office for over 30 years, where she was known for her reliability, dedication, and friendly spirit. She even earned the 1,000,000-mile safe driving award.

Susan absolutely adored her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and laughter. She cherished every moment spent with them-whether playing games, sharing stories, or simply enjoying time together.

Susan was a "mom" to many beyond her own family, always ready with a smile, advice, or some silliness. She was deeply involved in supporting her daughters' activities through Camp Fire and Job's Daughters, and she formed lasting friendships in those organizations.

She loved playing, and WINNING, games: Bingo, Mexican train, cards, and slots. Gardening, and staying connected with those she cared about-her phone calls and visits were a lifeline of love and laughter.

Susan was welcomed in heaven by her parents, her brother, her husband, and many dear friends and family members she longed to see again. She leaves behind her brother, James, her devoted daughters, Judy and Katie, and seven cherished grandchildren who will forever feel her love in their hearts. Her spirit will continue to blossom in the lives of all who were lucky enough to know her.

A celebration of Susan's life will be held at Kolb Park in Dublin on Saturday, November 22, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join us in remembering her warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
