Retiring after a long and fulfilling career in the retail industry, Susan dedicated herself to her work, but it was her role as a friend and neighbor that she cherished most deeply. Known for her kindness, her heart warmed by the soft purrs of cats, she devoted herself to caring for the neighborhood strays, ensuring that no creature went hungry.
A devoted member of St. John Catholic Church in Gulfport, Susan's faith was an important part of her life. Friends and family will gather to honor her legacy in a celebration of life to be announced at a later date, reflecting her impact on so many lives.
Susan had a zest for life that was contagious; she loved playing Bingo, cards, and visiting the casino. Each gathering with her family and friends was filled with joy and fond memories, creating a tapestry of moments that will be cherished forever.
She is survived by her sister, Sandra Kay Councell; her aunt, Lucille Ballinger; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all loved her dearly.
