Susana Wright Tabor

Susana Tabor (born Wright) lived life to the fullest, with joy, resiliency and so much love. As a mom, daughter, sister, friend, musician, and lifelong swimmer, she was well known at the Braddock pool and Hood college where she swam 3 or 4 days a week.
October 12, 1976, Susana Mary Wright (Susie) was born in Porto Àlegre, Brazil, where her family lived abroad. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Glenview, Illinois. A friend to everyone, always the champion to the underdog, she was known for her kindness and beautiful smile. In High School, she was a competitive swimmer, musician and avid mathematician. At Michigan Tech University, she majored in engineering and post college worked at Kimberly Clark as a Mechanical Engineer. She was blessed with an amazing son - Benjamin Tabor - currently a Clark Scholar in his sophomore year at University of Maryland. Ben is also studying Engineering. Susie's greatest joy was supporting Ben in his many endeavors- volunteering at school activities, attending Boy Scout activities or cheering on his swim competitions.
The last many years, with her mom, Mary, as her aide and companion she continued swimming, enjoyed family trips to Maine and loved singing with OGOV.

Carrying on her love for life are her parents Mary Mills (Mother) and Tom Kretz (Step-father), Richard Wright (Father) and Eddi Ortiz (Step- mother), her son Ben Tabor, sister Rebecca Wlazlo, brother-in-law Mike Wlazlo, and nephews - Joey, Matt & William (Liam) Wlazlo.
