87 year old, Susanna Wood, of Wheatfield, passed away on September 18, 2025, at home with her loving family around her.
On September 29, 1937, Susanna was born to Herbert and Elizabeth (Robbins) Henning, in Terre Haute, Indiana. She married the love of her life, Charles Wood, on December 23, 1989, in Lemont, Illinois. She was a member of St. Luke’s Community Church, and a Daughter of the Eastern Star. Susanna loved to garden, crochet, knit, and go travelling.
Susanna is survived by her loving husband: Charles, children: Steve (Patricia) Larranaga, Cynthia (Edward) Dellorto, Daniel Larranaga, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Susanna was preceded in death by her parents, children: Timothy Larranaga, Kim Darling, Michael Larranaga, and sister: Gretchen Henning.
Per Susanna’s wishes cremation will take place.
Internment Services for Susanna will be held at 10:30 a.m. on October 2, 2025, at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL 60421.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, IN 46392. Funeral Services for Susanna will be at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Mollet officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Luke’s Community Church.
