Just heard of Susie´s passing today upon returning from being out of town and thought I would write a poem in her honor.....
`Sweet Susie´
We never had a very long association
Just enough time for a protracted post-operative celebration
But the short interval exceeded an acquaintance
And was all it took to share a genuine experience
Rescued from a very major motor vehicle accident
Which served as a very significant catalyst precedence
Though gallantly fought and overcome
Multiple injurious battles could not be undone
Loved to give and receive warm hugs too
Running barefooted out the door to greet you
Gratefully appreciative of fragrant little toiletries
Soaps, candles and flowers all in keeping with the foibles
I am to a greater degree better for having known her
Through the compassionate spouse who cared for her with great fervor
Thanking the Lord for awakening me this morning
And leaning heavily on Him in the midst of this mourning
