Suzanne M. "Suzi" Gammon
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Suzanne M. "Suzi" Gammon. Suzi is survived by her husband Russell (Rusty) Issleb, her two children Cole and Kala Issleb, and the two family cats, Milo and Otis.
Suzi was not only a devoted mother to her children but had many "bonus" children. She welcomed anyone into her home with open arms. Many times, Cole or Kala came home to their friends sitting in the living room with Suzi.
Suzi was always working. Many know her from waitressing at Chris's Coach House, being a lunch mom at Robert Crown Elementary School, working at Thorntons, working in the deli at Island Foods, and her most recent job, working at Trio. If you think you knew her, you probably did.
Suzi was heavily involved in the Port Barrington REC committee and loved helping the community. She was the chili cookoff queen and helped Rusty win often.
Many knew her as "Miss Suzi" from their days in elementary school and still refer to her as that to this day. She loved it.
Suzi was at every softball game, bowling tournament, band concert, or anything her kids were doing.
Suzi will forever be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 4:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 PM, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda.
