Suzanne Elizabeth (Curtin) Locking

Suzanne Elizabeth (Curtin) Locking, 78, died February 3, 2026, in Manchester, NH. She was born on February 28, 1947, in Coeburn, VA, the daughter of Thomas and Nancy Curtin. She was the wife of Michael Locking. They were married on June 29, 1985, in Greenwich, CT.

Suzanne had a rich life. She traveled the world, living in Turkey, Japan, and Panama as a child and young woman. One of her proudest memories was her work for NASA in Houston, TX, during the Apollo missions. She never lost her love for the Appalachian Mountains of her birthplace. In 1989 she moved back to southwest Virginia with her husband and younger daughter and lived there until 2024, when she and her husband moved to New Hampshire to be closer to family.

Suzanne was an avid reader, a collector of paintings, pottery, and clocks, and a lover of history. Her home was never complete without a beloved assortment of cats, dogs, and birds.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; her two daughters, Alexandra Locking and Katherine Turelli; her granddaughters, Amelia and Elena Turelli; and her younger brother and sister, John Curtin and Julia Curtin.

Services will be held privately for family and close friends.
