Suzanne G Ridley

Suzanne Ridley, 71, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a short illness.
Suzanne G. Gurley was born December 10, 1953, to Mr. Gordon Gurley and Mrs. Ruby Hamilton Gurley at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was the youngest of four children.
Suzanne attended school within the Southaven, MS school district. She graduated in the class of 1970. Her first job was at Shoney's Restaurant in Memphis, TN. One evening she attended a party where she met and started dating Skeeter Ridley. They enjoyed their courtship and later married. To their union they welcomed two daughters, Elizabeth and Pamela. They continued to live in Memphis for a few years. Skeeter's job would transfer him to different cities, leading them to Humboldt, TN in 1992. Suzanne started working at Kroger in 1992. She made several good friends and a special friend, Ms. Lena Carter. Suzanne retired in 2018. She was active in all school functions, graduations, birthdays, and special events for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Suzanne reconnected with her best friend, Wanda Mauldin, who has passed away; they would go on trips and weekends away.
Suzanne leaves to cherish her memories daughters Elizabeth Pierson and Pamela Ridley (Chris Bass); grandchildren: Amy Pierson, Michael Pierson, Lauren Pierson, Kendall Bass, and Christopher Bass; great grandsons: Kaden Pierson, Karson Pierson, and Grayson Pierson; special family friend Barbie Bass.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Ruby Gurley, ex-husband Skeeter Ridley, son-in-law Chad Pierson, great grandson Henry Allen Vestal, and her siblings.
