Suzanne Robinson Obituary

Suzanne Louella Robinson passed away on October 14, 2025, at home after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer.

She was born in Tillamook, Oregon on June 19, 1947 to TC and Lolas Fulton. She grew up in Garibaldi, Oregon and attended Neah-Kah-Nie High School; where she graduated in 1965 and was a cheerleader. She had a brother, James Fulton who passed away in 1970. After graduation she moved to Portland, Oregon and attended Western Business College.

On November 18, 1967 she married, Bruce Robinson. They had a daughter, Jennifer Sue on November 23, 1968 and then a second daughter, Nicole Lynn on December 2, 1972. In 1974 they moved to Milwaukie, Oregon. Suzanne was involved in the PTA at Wichita Grade School and then started working for the North Clackamas School District as a teacher's aide. She worked at several grade schools including Seth Lewelling, Ardenwald, and Milwaukie Junior High. She spent the last 17 years of her career working at Sunnyside Elementary School in Happy Valley, Oregon before retiring in 2012. When her daughters were younger she was involved in their activities; when both girls figure skated, when Nikki was in baton, or as a hockey Mom when Jennifer later played ice hockey.

Suzanne and Bruce spent summers camping at Wickiup and Metolius River in Eastern Oregon. They enjoyed their yearly summer trips down to Arizona to visit their daughter, Nicole, son-in-law, Steve Matcuk, three grandchildren, Alexys, Andrew and Brody Matcuk and granddog, Ripken. Suzanne would also fly down every year on Spring Break to visit them as well. She was a huge Chicago Cubs fan and several times traveled down to Yuma, Arizona to watch Spring Training where her parents would spend the Spring months in their RV going to all the Cactus League games. Suzanne loved Pugs as her and Bruce had a beloved Pug, Rose. Prior to Rose they had their Pug, Bailey. They were also fosters for the Pacific Pug Rescue and adopted one of the seven foster Pugs that came thru their home. In later years they enjoyed spending time down at Garibaldi, Oregon at their "beach house" on the bay that was Suzanne's childhood home.

Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Robinson) Lummus, and husband, Scott; daughter, Nicole Matcuk, and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Alexys Matcuk, Andrew Matcuk and Brody Matcuk; and beloved Pug, Rose; sister-in-law, Judy Hyden, and husband, George, and their son, Stacy Hyden. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bruce; who passed away just eight days before she did.

A Cemetery Service will be 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon; followed by a reception at The Old Spaghetti Factory, 12725 SE 93rd Ave, Clackamas, OR 97015. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Providence Cancer Institute Franz Clinic; where she received treatment.
