Suzette Marie Thornton, 52, of Burlington, NC, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 16th, 1971. She was the daughter of Keith and Barbara Clark and the late Helen Carden Clark.
She is survived by her husband of seven years, Tim Thornton; daughter, Ashley Potter and fiancé Liam Nicks Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA; son, Jonathan Potter of Burlington, NC; stepdaughter, Sabrina Wilson and husband Kris of Whitsett, NC; stepdaughter, Sydney Thornton and fiancé Sabrina Campelo of Christiansburg, VA; brothers, Barry Clark, Billy Clark and wife Cindi of Burlington, NC; sister, Penny Flythe and husband Coley of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Noah Packenham, Aubree Johnson, Isla Nicks, Liam Nicks Jr., Samson Wilson and Solomon Wilson; nieces, Jessica Sides and husband Raymond of Bennettsville, SC, Lindsey Morales and husband Andres of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jason Clark and wife Melissa, and Matthew Clark of Burlington, NC, along with several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Logan Packenham, sister-in-law, Judy Clark and brothers, Clinton Smith and Alan Clark.
Suzette was a loving Wife, Daughter, Mother, Sister, Nana, and Aunt. She was a great friend to so many. She had a beautiful smile that would radiate through a room and a vibrant personality to match. She had a kind heart that touched everyone who knew her. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with loved ones. She was a Prefunding QC Analyst with Union Home Mortgage Company.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Joe Miles with burial to follow at Hawfields Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association @www.heart.org/donate.
