Sybil J. Brucker

Sybil J. (Oswald) Brucker, 75, formerly of Harrison City and Palo Alto, Calif., died Friday, April 15, 2022, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Jan. 21, 1947, in Provo, Utah, a daughter of the late Delbert and Dorothy (Nash) Oswald. Sybil was a registered nurse who worked at Magee-Women's Hospital for 29 years. She was a member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and gained and gave support through her membership in the former Laurel Highlands multiple sclerosis support group. She was a member of Manor Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the church choir and participated in the women's association. Sybil is survived by three stepsons, Frank W. (Judy) Brucker, Joseph M. Brucker and William J. (Molly) Brucker, and their families; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Joseph V. Brucker; sister, Beverly McRoberts; and brother, Stanley Oswald. Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2022, at Manor Presbyterian Church, 13 Broadway Ave., Manor, PA 15665.
