HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING SYDNEY AND MRS. CHAPLIN AT THEIR COUNTRY CLUB HOME IN THE DESERT WHEN I WAS THERE REGARDING A BUSINESS TRANSACTION. MRS. CHAPLIN SAID SHE HAD BEEN HIS BEVERLY HILLS BANKER. SYNDEY DID A PERSONALIZED AUTOGRAPH FOR ME WITH A CARICATURE OF HIS FATHER. I COULDN'T HELP BUT NOTICE WHAT A FRIENDLY COUPLE THEY WERE. JUST FINISHED WATCHING A DOCUMENTARY OF "THE FORGOTTEN YEARS" VERY GOOD FILM FOR UNDERSTANDING THE CHAPLIN FAMILY ROLE IN OUR LIVES.

To the family of the funny, funny, man. We use to watch him on TV often. He is truly missed. Isaiah 66:13

For Sydney...

WEEP NOT FOR ME

Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.

Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.

I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.

Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.

Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.

Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Missing every Chaplin as a great hollywood family passes. Does Stephan have any tendencies to follow in the Chaplin legacy of acting?

Chaplin Family... May our Lords arms welcome Sydney & help you find peace at this sad time.
Lita Grey was my father's distant cousin. I played one game of tennis with Sidney when we were teens and I visited him with the Padilla girls. He was very patient as I was really green at the game.

Margaret, we send our deepest condolences. And our prayers and thoughts are with you. We will always cherish the fun, laughs, trips, golf tournaments, "CHAPLINS", his singing, our time in Ireland together & of course his magnificent career. He always made us laugh. My mother was a great fan of your father's and our one treasured heirloom is a note he wrote to her. Because of her admiration of your father, I too, became interested and have done much reading about your family, and the many wonderful and difficult events throughout your lives. Rest In Peace.

I feel I have lost a blood brother. We were in basic training, WW II. Your tremendous sense of humor & storytelling helped those in our company get through it. You bought my breakfast (broke G.I.) w/
your winnings in a crap game on our return train trip to L.A.

What a wonderfully talented man. he will be remembered for what he contributed in life. He will be remembered also because his passing causes you his family to miss him. May the God of all comfort give you hope, for He promises at Hosea13:14 "From the hands of Sheol I shall redeem them; from death I shall recover them....." Wishing your family peace.

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.
