Nobles Funeral Home announces the funeral service for Mrs. Sydney Ann Lanier Moody, age 79, who passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Appling County Healthcare System. Mrs. Moody was born in Wayne County raised in Tampa, Florida, lived in Hilton Head, SC for thirty years and a resident of Appling County for the past nine years. She was a retired secretary, and a member of Friendship Congregational Christian Church. Mrs. Moody was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother loved dearly by her family and friends.
Mrs. Moody is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Myrtle Head Lanier, and a son, Todd Moody.
Surviving is her husband of sixty-two years, Sonny Moody; a son, Scott Lanier Moody (Mandy); three grandchildren, Rae Moody, Morgan Moody, and Julia Howell (Austin); five great grandchildren, Cooper Bly, McKinley Howell, Elliott Howell, Sonny Litherland-Moody, and Allister Litherland-Moody.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. at Friendship Congregational Church with Reverend Wayne Williamson and Reverend Bryant Bishop officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at Friendship Congregational Christian Church.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Ladies Circle.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Friendship Congregational Christian Church Youth Fund.
