Sylvia Louise Dixson Ellason passed from her earthly life on January 22, 2026. Sylvia was born January 28,1942 to Arthur Roy Dixson and Mary Louise Rodgers Dixson. She grew up on the west side of Fort Worth and graduated from Trimble Tech High School in 1960.
After graduation she moved to Houston where she worked in the shipping industry on the Houston Ship Channel. In 1969 she married Lindy Ellason, the love of her life. Together, they were founding members of the Just the Two of Us Bass Club, remaining active until Lindy's passing in 2014. In 2017 she moved back to Fort Worth to be close to her family.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, her sisters Patricia Dixson Jones and Deanna Dixson Staples, niece Barbara Staples and nephews Chris Conklin and Frank Linden. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Vicki and Wes Morton, Ric and Michelle Jones, Sharon and Steve Ray Ciccarelli, Linda Arbuckle, Penny Conklin, Shirley Smith, Bolton and Debra Linden and their families.
Services will be at Rodgers Cemetery with Wade Funeral Home in Kennedale, Texas.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your local Meals on Wheels program or the Alzheimer's Association.
