Sylvia Ann Ferreira

Sylvia Ann Ferreira was born to her parents, Marlene Berkley and Manuel Ferreira on May 23, 1970. She was the second child of what turned into a large close knit family. As the only daughter, Sylvia quickly assumed the responsibility of “overseeing” her four brothers…a responsibility she took very seriously her entire life.

Sylvia also loved animals and leaves behind her beloved dog Skye. She is also survived by her brothers, Paul “Chico” (Christine) Ferreira, Ricky Ferreira and Carlos Ferreira, her mother Marlene Berkley and father Manuel (Lupe) Ferreira, her half-sister Ruby Ferreira, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her brother Haime Ferreira.

Sylvia was a proud supporter of LGBTQ+ community. She regularly attended events and provided support to their community.

In late April she unfortunately suffered a medical event that she could not recover from. However, Sylvia passed on the way she lived, like a lion. She fought like hell and wouldn’t admit defeat. She is sorely missed by her family, extensive friends, and sweet dog.

Services will be held at WITKOWIAK FUNERAL HOME, 529 W. Historic Mitchell St, Milwaukee, WI 53024:

Visitation August 3, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 pm

Service held immediately from 3:00 – 4:00 pm
