Sylvia A. Larson

Sylvia Larson, 87, formerly of Clark, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Avantara Watertown. Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Furness Funeral Home in Clark at 4:30 p.m. Visitation will precede the service from 3:00 until 4:30. Furness Funeral Home has been entrusted with arranging services.
Sylvia Arloween was born in Watertown, SD on August 14th, 1937 to parents Melvin and Velva (Froke) Reinhart. She grew up in the Vienna area and attended Vienna High School.
Sylvia married Orland (Chink) Larson on November 25th, 1963 in Clark South Dakota. Chink and Syl worked and farmed in Clark, Vienna, Watertown, Lake Norden and Lake Poinsette. After Chink's passing, Sylvia moved to Watertown. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida and Arizona, gardening, bowling, playing cards and coffee with friends. Sylvia realized her passion for genealogy writing two books detailing the lineage of her family.
Sylvia is survived by sister Sharon Simpson, brother-in-law Merlin Hovde and daughter-in-law Pamela (Larson) Larson and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death parents Melvin and Velva, brother Vernon, sisters Melva, Delores, Claryce and Phyllis, husband Orland (Chink), and son Alan.
