Sylvia Anderson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Miles J. Kimble Mortuary & Cremation on Dec. 10, 2025.
Mrs. Sylvia Lynn Walker Anderson, age 55, of Forrest City, Arkansas, transitioned from this earthly life on December 10, 2025. She was born December 13, 1969, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to Sylvester Walker, Sr. and Lillian Louise Greene Walker.

Sylvia professed a hope in Christ at an early age at Lane Chapel C.M.E. Church under the leadership of Pastor Ronald Williams. She received her education in the Forrest City School District and was a proud member of the Class of 1988.

Sylvia was known for her bold and unforgettable personality. She enjoyed playing cards and keeping everyone laughing, and she was lovingly known as the one who kept everyone going in the family. Sylvia was the life of the party, full of energy, humor, and spirit. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She was also known for her delicious caramel cakes, a family favorite that everyone looked forward to.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester Walker, Sr.; grandparents, Lula Mae Walker and Willie Walker; two brothers, Master Sylvester Walker and Charles Edward Walker; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Walker, Kordarius Kortez "Doddle" Walker, Robert Hubbard, LaTamara Chardae Williams, Sha'Miya "MyMy" Pearson, and Herbert "Doug" Flenoy; and her mother-in-law, Mrs. Earline Anderson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Lillian Louise Greene Walker of Forrest City, Arkansas; Edward Anderson, Jr. of Forrest City, Arkansas; and her beloved children: Sylvia Walker of Forrest City, Arkansas, Kymyada Walker of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Kenneth Walker (LaJesse Anderson) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Edward Anderson, III of Forrest City, Arkansas. She was blessed with twelve grandchildren, each of whom she adored.

She also leaves to cherish her memory her loving siblings: Joann Flenoy of Forrest City, Arkansas, Sylvester Walker, Jr. of Forrest City, Arkansas, Annie Jean Walker of Forrest City, Arkansas, Cynthia (Lawerence) Smith of Colt, Arkansas, Lula (Nathaniel) Kidd of Forrest City, Arkansas, Jackie (Carla) Walker of Forrest City, Arkansas, Tony Walker (Wanda Gatewood) of Forrest City, Arkansas, Michael Walker of Forrest City, Arkansas, Anthony (Sharon) Walker of Bono, Arkansas, Cassandra Walker of Forrest City, Arkansas, and Rickey (Glenda) Walker of Jonesboro, Arkansas. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends, all of whom will forever remember her laughter, her strength, and the light she brought into their lives.

Sylvia lived life on her own terms, full of joy, honesty, humor, and love. Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
