She was preceded in death by her father, Elias Wilfredo Lozano, and sons-in-law, Oscar Castro Sr. and Albert Adamkoski Jr.
Those who knew Sylvia will remember her for her unwavering faith, godly testimony, and unconditional love for her family. At the age of 19, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, a decision that forever transformed her life. Her walk with Christ was marked by steadfast faithfulness, resilience in hardship, and a spirit of grace and forgiveness. She trusted God fully, finding the strength to carry life's burdens with courage and grit.
Sylvia was the rock of her family, and a devoted prayer warrior. Her faithful prayers for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren left a lasting spiritual legacy. She led by example, instilling the importance of prayer in her family. She had a deep compassion for children and dedicated many years to working with a nonprofit organization serving disabled and handicapped children.
In the last few years of her life, Sylvia poured her heart into serving as her mother's personal care giver, providing tireless, around-the-clock support. She gave of herself completely until her final breath. She embodied selflessness in every sense of the word.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Village Baptist Church, 20300 Cypresswood Dr., Humble, TX 77338. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
