Sylvia Ann Simpkins, the daughter of the late Hythenia and Frampton Simpkins, was born on December 11, 1953. She departed this life on January 9, 2025, at Aiken Regional Medical Center. She graduated from Aiken High School in 1971. She was a retired beautician and employee of Owens-Corning. She was a member of Joshua Gener8tion House of Faith, Inc. in Trenton, SC. Those who knew her would describe her as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, A rock that kept her family grounded, a believer in Christ and in his promises, and the biggest fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers that any of us know. To say that she will be deeply missed would be an understatement. She was preceded in death by both her parents, her brother Keith Simpkins, and her two sons, Sean and Berry Simpkins. She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Keisha Simpkins and Tangi (Kenneth) Palmore, both of Aiken, SC; one daughter-in- law, Apral Simpkins of Aiken, SC; one sister, Cheryl (Tony) Norris of Orlando, FL; ten grandchildren, Adarius Simpkins, Cameron Jones, Khalil Simpkins, Nykia Simpkins, Massiah Holmes, Kesean Palmore, Jaimya Simpkins, Kevin Palmore, Dereon Simpkins, and Ciara Simpkins; two nephews, Bryan (Kimberly) LaBord and RJ (Venita) LaBord; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
