T. Hall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory - Frankfort on Feb. 6, 2026.
T. Scott Hall, 79, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born in Wayland, Kentucky, and a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Scott lived a life rooted in family, grounded in his love for the mountains and the outdoors that he cherished, and defined by a deep and abiding love for his country.

Scott was the devoted husband of Vikki Hall, with whom he shared more than 50 years of marriage. He was a loving father to daughters: Lauren Hall, Alyse Hall, Kaitlyn Hall Schell (Benjamin), and a proud grandfather to Hartwell Schell, Truman Schell, and Violet Schell, who were the light of his life.

He is also survived by his sister, Margueritte Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Hall and Violet Cook Hall; his siblings, John F. Hall and Shirell H. Hall; and his infant son, Truman Scott Hall II. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and other family and friends who will cherish his memory.

For over 40 years, Scott worked as an accountant, including many years with Harrod and Associates, where he was respected and loved by his clients and colleagues for his professionalism, and great work ethic.

While Scott rarely spoke about his time in the military, he was a proud Vietnam War Veteran and held a lifelong love and respect for the United States. He served his country honorably and received several awards during his time in the service.

Scott never met a stranger and had a natural gift for making people feel at ease. He loved to tell jokes, often delivered with perfect timing and a familiar smile. His quiet humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was an enthusiastic supporter of UK Athletics, and when he wasn't cheering on his favorite teams or spending treasured time with his grandchildren, he could often be found on a golf course chasing another hole in one.

Scott was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where his faith remained a steady and guiding presence throughout his life.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Father John Lijana officiating. The interment will be observed at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the VFW Post 4075 or Wounded Warrior Project.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
