Ms. Tamar Raelynn ""Tammy"" Jackson

I'm so sorry to see that Tamar passed. I was just watching a Five Star music video and my friend Lolita and I thought one of the members resembled Tamar. I decided to google her and I saw she passed. I'm DEVASTATED. I met her when she first moved to NYC at 19 years old, I was 16. She took me to my first club, Levitticus, my first pageant, Miss Cosmopolitan, she introduced me to my first Broadway star, Obba Babatunde. Tamar was very special to me and we lost contact in the 1987 but I never forgot her and never stopped thinking of her. RIP TAMAR RAELYN JACKSON the first black woman to win Miss Teen Kentucky

I miss my Sister so much and this past Holiday season was not the same anymore without her being around to bring cheerful smile and laughing to everyone face we all miss her so much and I wish I could see her once more. My little sister was the heart of the family and drew people from everywhere that came just to be in the room with her or see her. She was a Model and Actress on Queen Latisha Show and LL Cool J Video and friends of Entertainers like Eddie Murphy and more.

I met Tamar when she first came to New York City to model. We met in a pageant and became friends. We lost contact however I always remembered her. So fun so beatific. I wish we wouldve reconnected before I found this. Peace be unto her family.

I just received this obituary from an associate. We both worked with Tamar. I was in touch with her about 6 months on the phone prior to her passing. She told me of her challenges this was about 2 years after she left our company. This conversation surprised me however I was glad that she called me and thought to share her life with me and what she survived, an amazing struggle however a positive loving attitude none the less. We never got to see each other again but I will hold her spirt and love in my heart always.

I and my family has been friends the with Jackson family for over 40 plus years. Our family and about 10 other black family were first black families own homes in the Tates Creek area in the early 70s. The lost of Ms. Tamar Jackson send shock wave threw the Tates Creek area. We don't questions God actions because he give it and he take. So to the Jackson Family just remember John 14 : 1- 4 verse, our family will continue to keep the family in prayer durning this time.

My condolences to the family. I was so excited to be in touch with Tamar again on Facebook. She was always so nice to me when I attended Tates Creek HSmy one and only year there.

My heart is hearting so much. I was really close to Tamar when we worked at Walgreens in Turfland Mall. She used to spend the night at my house frequently. We lost touch many years ago. I was just talking about Tammy with my Dad last week. I know she will be great let missed.

Although I haven't seen her in years, I still thought about her and how she was doing hoping one day I would get to talk to her again. She always have a beautiful soul, I am very proud to call her my friend and neighbor, You will be missed. I will look for you in heaven. Rest well Tamar

She was a Model Writer Actor Mother and a Great Cook. In Film and Music Videos before they were something to stare at with 'LL Cool J in TV Shows with Queen Latifa and Film with BB King and Robert Downey Jr. And her sister Ajaye Jackson was right there with her through it all.
