Mrs. Tamara “Tami” Jensen, age 55, of Rockvale, TN, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025. Tamara was born October 22, 1969 in Aurora, IL to the late Danny Wayne Lee and Sharon June Love Lee, who survives. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Jerry Heitschmidt.
Tami met the love of her life at the young age 13 and told her sister that she was going to marry him. After a few years of dating, their love story unfolded to 37 years of marriage. She grew up playing the violin and was a talented musician. Tami enjoyed cooking, especially pasta. She was a planner when it came to her food. She began to can her own food from their garden the last several years.
Tami enjoyed crocheting and going thrifting. She enjoyed decorating her house for the family, especially the grandchildren. She could often be found watching reality TV and occasionally scary movies. Tami was a crafter and would always have projects for the grandchildren when they came over. She was a gift giver and loved to share those special moments with her friends and family. In the last several years, Tami has enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg with her husband in the beautiful fall scenery in October.
Tami is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jaysen Jensen of Rockvale, TN; a son, Jayson (Laurie) Lee Jensen of Eagleville, TN; a daughter, Samantha Jay (Brandon) Jensen McClellan; two grandchildren, Oaklynn Kait Jensen and Ozzie Jay McClellan; a sister, Deanna (Joseph) Kisor of Murfreesboro, TN; a brother, Christopher (Lori) Lee of Bellaire, MI; 5 nephews and 4 nieces also survive; and her two animals, Marley and Tank.
A Celebration of Life service for Tami will be Monday, August 4, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home at 1PM. There will be a visitation period one hour prior to the service from 12 Noon until 1PM.
Memorial donations may be made to Rutherford County Animal Shelter or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
