Tamara "Tammy" Rose Laytham, 59, of New Hampton, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025 at Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany, Missouri.

Tammy was born on July 2, 1966 at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas to Charles Clair and Donna Sue (Vance) Brown. She was raised in church at Overland Park Baptist Temple in Kansas. She always had a love for children and Jesus. On November 16, 1985, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Richard Laytham. Together they raised four children and a nephew, Kalliah, Matthew, Brandon, Katlyn, and Michael Brown. In 1996, they moved to Bethany, Missouri where Tammy started in home daycare and took care of dozens of children, most of which were like family. Following daycare, Tammy then started her journey as a McDonald's employee where she found a love for her routine customers including the coffee drinkers and bingo family. After her time at McDonald's, she took care of her mother who had fallen ill. She also enjoyed the many years she worked at the group home. Tammy always had a love caring for others. She was a friend, sister, wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and sister in Christ to all who knew the Lord. At the end of her life, Tammy just wanted everyone to know the Lord.

Tammy is preceded in death by her mother, Donna Brown; and son, Brandon Laytham. She is survived by her father, Charles Brown and wife Karen; husband, Kenneth Laytham; children, Kalliah Griffin and husband John, Matthew Laytham, and Katlyn Holcomb and husband Lucas; grandchildren, Kelsey, Cayden, Clayton, and Klarissa Griffin, Isiah, Tristen, Braelynn, Gabriella, and Kameron Laytham, Madalyn, Abigail, Charlotte, and Ava Holcomb; siblings, Richard Brown and Amanda Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Roberson Funeral Home, 1107 S. 25th St. Bethany, MO 64424. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Friday, August 15, 2025 at New Hampton Christian Church in New Hampton, MO. Burial will follow in the Zion Cemetery in New Hampton, MO.
