Tamara Quinn Obituary

Tamara Dianne Quinn (Momma, Granny, Tammy, Tam, Tang)

September 28, 1956 -

December 11, 2023

Tamara was born September 28, 1956, to the late Charles James Quinn and Sandra Gayle Quinn and left this earth to join them in heaven on December 11, 2023. She was also preceded in death by her uncle, Pat Messer, and nephew, Chip James. Tamara is survived by her two loving sons Heath (Beth) Neal of Cartersville and Adam (Angel) Gray of Calhoun; five grandchildren, Eoin Neal, Eaiden Neal, Rhys Neal, Emerson Worley-Gray, and Willow Friday; two brothers, Scott (Sherree) Quinn of Calhoun and Jeffery (Lisa) Quinn of Taylorsville; one sister, Melanie (Steve) Moore; one uncle, Rod Messer, of Calhoun; and special, lifelong best friends, Lonnita Lawson Willis of Adairsville and Kathy Hammontree Greeson of Brooklet.

She was a lifelong resident of Calhoun, Georgia, and was a member of Sonoraville Baptist Church. She retired from the workforce in 2020 and continued to work part-time as a store clerk, as she always enjoyed the company of others.

Tamara was a spunky, funny, and easy-going lady whose greatest joy was spending time with friends and family. She especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, children, and all the "fur babies" in her life. She will always be remembered for her sweet smile, positivity, great sense of humor, and her kind and gentle spirit. There will never be another sunset that we don't think of our Tamara.

A memorial service for Tamara will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Boone Ford Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Quarles officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League of Northwest Georgia at [email protected].

Belated, but heartfelt condolences to all friends and family. I wasn´t aware of how large her family was. I´ll bet she was a great grandmother! I have such fond memories of my cousin growing up and then as a friend in High School. She had a big bright personality and so witty, always made me laugh. I´m so sorry she had to leave so soon.

Love, Sheryll Thomason

She was the sweetest lady my whole pregnancy She always asked how I was doing. After my baby was born she loved seeing her every week I always went down her lane even if I had to wait just so she could see us. I always looked forward to seeing her. I knew she had been sick but I was so sad to find out she had passed away. She will be missed

I worked with her at the Market in Resaca and she was always so nice and so sweet and then she started working at Food City and then today I seen your picture at one of the registers and my heart broke. It was a sad day finding out that you have passed away and I am going to keep you and you family in my prayers and thoughts. Fly high sweet lady. You will be dearly missed.

Tamara was one of the sweetest. Always knew how to put a smile on anyone´s face and gave the best hugs. She was one of the ones I´d go to for advice or for a laugh. She will forever be missed. Me and Zariah love you! Sending prayers to the family.

I just adored Tam from the first time I met her. So sweet and funny. I will miss her dearly. So glad I got to see her this summer. The years just melted away as we talked and laughed and hugged. Such a loss.
