Tamara Treece

Tamara "Tammy" Treece, a cherished wife, mother, and friend, passed away in Alpena, on July 14, 2025, following a short battle with cancer. Tammy was born on October 30, 1975, in Flint, Michigan to her parents, Clarence and Linda Chaney.
Her early years were spent in the company of friends, enjoying the simple pleasures of cruising the roads while listening to music and gathering around campfires. As a young adult, she moved to Colorado with her husband, Chad. However, family and familiarity brought them back to Alpena.
As a devoted homemaker, Tammy took pride in being a wife to husband Chad Treece and mother to daughter Abigail Treece. She also served as a caretaker for her parents, who preceded her in death, as well as her brother, Lewis Chaney. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to her in-laws, Wendy and Bill Barnard, sister-in-law Jennifer (Toby) Kinnison, her nephews, Aramis and Brandon Kinnison, and niece, Casey Kinnison. Tammy's compassionate heart even had room for her special kitties, Finn and Baby, who brought her comfort and joy.
After many years of caring for her family, Tammy embraced the opportunity to work with the community by taking a position at Walmart. There, she made lasting friendships with coworkers and took pleasure in assisting the public. Her creative side allowed her to make herself a small side business, by creating custom items, including jewelry, tumblers, mugs, and keychains. Her handcrafted treasures were not just products but symbols of her love and creativity.
Tammy was an avid reader, often losing herself in the pages of the Left Behind Series and various romance novels. Her strong faith was a comforting and guiding force, and she cherished time spent reflecting on her beliefs through reading her Bible. In moments of relaxation, she could be found watching her favorite TV shows, such as "Friends," "Supernatural," and "Castle," which brought laughter and entertainment.
Tammy was full of love, faith, and kindness. Her spirit will continue to inspire us, and her love will remain in our hearts eternally. Tammy's departure may leave a void, but her influence will endure as a testament to a life lived with purpose, passion, and grace.
Per Tammy's request she has been taken for cremation with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements have been made by McWilliams Funeral Home.
