Tami Jean Sipek

Tamara "Tami" Jean Sipek (Blas) passed on May 6th, 2021 after a short battle of cancer at JCHL. Tami was born on December 20th, 1967 in Fairbury, NE to William "Bill" and Carol (Dorman) Blas of Reynolds, NE. She attended school in Reynolds until 8th grade, and then went on to Fairbury Jr. Sr. High where she graduated in 1986. She then attended Cosmetology school in Beatrice. Tami worked at Wal-Mart for over 20 years. She also worked at Creative Image and Backstreet Styles which are beauty salons in Fairbury. She became a para and was currently at Fairbury Elementary School.
She married her high school sweetheart, Randy Sipek, on November 6th, 1993. To this union were blessed with two daughters, Kaylee and Casidy. They proceeded to move to Randy's parents farm north of Fairbury. She loved playing basketball and loved to watch Larry Bird and the Celtics. She enjoyed watching her kids participate in their school activities. She also loved to be outdoors and with animals. Her favorite season was winter so she could go outside and enjoy making snowmen with her family. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Zion UCC by Gladstone.
She is survived by her husband, for over 27 years, her daughters, parents, mother-in-law, June Sipek, brother, Terry (Leann) Blas, sister-in-law, Linda Abelson, nieces, Brittney (Blas) Schwartz, Harlie Blas, Deidra Sommerville, Melissa Wright. Nephews Trayce Blas, Aaron Abelson, numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins and many dear friends. Preceded by grandparents Earl and BernaDean Dorman, Lawrence and Leta Blas, father-in-law Lumir Sipek, aunt Karen (Blas) Rippe, uncle Roger Schmidt and great nephew Rylan Schwartz. She was loved by many.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 9th, at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury from 4-6 p.m. Services will be Monday, May 10th at Zion Countryside Church at 10:30 a.m. in Gladstone, NE. Lunch will follow the service, then the burial at the cemetery in Fairbury. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been designated to the family's choice.
